What was the main reason for your decision to use the ReDem tool in your data quality process?
"For our clients, data quality is essential, as strategic decisions are based on it. A striking example is an analysis of product usage intentions. Without a technology-based review of data quality, distorted data could have led to wrong decisions, for instance regarding a product launch. Comparing raw data with ReDem-cleaned data revealed that the supposedly high usage intention in the raw data was largely due to fraudulent cases. To meet these challenges, we decided to use ReDem for quality assurance."
How is ReDem integrated into your processes?
"Today, ReDem is a standard part of all our panel studies. Thanks to the live integration with keyingress, every interview is checked in real time against defined quality criteria. Low-quality data is immediately flagged as a “Quality Fail” and returned to the panel, so it does not count toward quotas – a major advantage for quota management. A key focus is the automated review of open-ended responses, which we apply in every study. Numerous quality checks are automated, including content evaluation of answers and duplicate checks both within and across interviews. In addition, ReDem checks completion times and potential patterns in grid questions. The live integration makes the entire process much simpler and faster."
What effects have you observed from using ReDem?
"Using ReDem has led to a significant improvement in data quality, especially when it comes to reviewing open-ended responses. We now achieve a level of data quality that would no longer be possible to guarantee manually, given the increasingly professional and automated fraud. Beyond improving quality, we have also gained efficiency through automated data checking, cleaning, and quota management. The time required for project management, quality assurance, and data analysis has been reduced considerably. With ReDem, we now get to better data faster."
