Your Mission
  • Own architecture, delivery, and software quality
  • Shape the product roadmap together with the CEO and translate goals into tangible releases
  • Lead and grow the engineering team – and contribute hands-on to key features
Your Responsibilities
  • Design and evolve the software architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Ensure high-quality delivery from planning to operations, including retrospectives and postmortems
  • Build, lead, and coach the engineering team; take ownership of recruiting and performance management
  • Raise the bar for code quality through reviews, standards, testing, and CI/CD
  • Co-own and execute the product strategy together with the CEO
  • Champion AI-assisted, efficient coding practices and embed them in the team culture
  • Build up security and compliance structures (target: ISMS based on ISO 27001)
  • Work closely with selected customers for discovery and continuous feedback
What you will need
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technology teams and cross-functional projects, with a strong focus on strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Fullstack JavaScript leadership: expertise in high performant web apps and APIs to guide architectural decisions and code quality standards.
  • Designed and managed cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, integrating Azure-based OpenAI services and leveraging large language models (LLMs) for product innovation.
  • Defined and implemented scalable data models in MongoDB to support rapid feature development and increasing customer demand.
  • Strong technical knowledge in software development, cloud technologies, DevOps, and Security.
  • Advocated and implemented modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development workflows, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Manage the allocation of technological resources and ensure that the company’s technology budget is aligned with business priorities and resource availability.
  • Excelled in stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency between engineering, product, and the CEO.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Previous Startup experience is a plus.

Salary: Minimum gross salary according to the Austrian IT collective agreement: EUR 70,000 per year (full-time). Willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
